If you had bacterial tonsillitis as a child, it was probably caused by Streptococcus bacteria. These anaerobic bacteria love the oxygen-poor nooks and crannies of the tonsils and cause an infection that may produce tonsil stones much later in life. Of course, bad breath is by far the most complained about symptom of tonsil stones, but how to get rid of it?
