Did You Have Bacterial Tonsillitis As A Child?
If you had bacterial tonsillitis as a child, it was probably caused by Streptococcus bacteria. These anaerobic bacteria love the oxygen-poor nooks and crannies of the tonsils and cause an infection that may produce tonsil stones much later in life. Of course, bad breath is by far the most complained about symptom of tonsil stones, but how to get rid of it?

Tonsil Stones Stink?
If you have tonsil stones, you know they stink.
My first hangout on this blog takes a look at what causes tonsils stones and
touches on some possible treatments. Short of having your tonsils removed, you
can try gargling with saltwater, antibiotics or – my personal favorite – an oxygen-rich
rinse that kills the bacteria responsible for that rotten-egg smell. Thanks for
attending the hangout/watching the screen cast!
Watch the recording of the hangout about tonsil stones causes.
Medline Plus, a service provided by the National Institutes of Health, also has good info on tonsils, adenoids and related ailments.
